Football: Satellite camps are back and what it means for ISU

Satellite camps are back. The NCAA Board of Directors rescinded a rule limiting coaches to work camps only on their campus.

The ruling opens the door for Iowa State to hold its previously scheduled camps for this summer, including a joint venture with Michigan in Texas. The events will “most likely” be back on, but the Cyclones are waiting to discuss the matter, according to a source in the program.

This move comes after the NCAA Division I Council voted to ban satellite camps, football clinics where coaches get to work alongside prospective Division I football players.
