Football: Offensive line steps up in scrimmage and in camp

A major goal in two-a-days was to see improvement from the Iowa State offensive line. Coach Paul Rhoads can check it off his list.

Rhoads is pleased with what he’s seen from the fellas up front.

“I would probably say the o-line has advanced as a group as any position group throughout training camp,” Rhoads said.

It showed during a closed scrimmage on Saturday. There was no tackling during the scrimmage.

“We ran the ball decent at times,” offensive coordinator Mark Mangino said. “In fact, really well at times with the ones and the two offense.
