John Kuceyeski worked on the operations side of college football, but he always wanted to get his own position group.
When the opportunity popped up this summer, Kuceyeski couldn’t pass it up. He is leaving Iowa State as the director of scouting to become the Cornell running backs coach.
“That was the goal since day one,” Kuceyeski said while in Montana on Friday. “When you want to get on the field and coach a room and have an impact on a position group on a daily basis, it’s kind of a no-brainer to do professionally.”
The job came together quick, in about two weeks, and surprised Kuceyeski.
