Four signing day surprises came for Iowa State football on national signing day.
Raines High School (Fla.) twins JaQuan and Joshua Bailey committed to the Cyclones, Mount Healthy High School (Ohio) running back David Mongomery and Battle High School (Mo.) defensive end Jerrion Nelson each picked the Cyclones on Wednesday morning. ISU announced their signings later Wednesday morning.
JaQuan Bailey, a three-star Rivals.com defensive end, was the unexpected commitment. He was expected to sign with Virginia Tech in recruiting circles. He is 6-foot-3, 235 pounds.
Joshua Bailey, a three-star Rivals.com defensive tackle, was expected to be leaning toward ISU as signing day approached.
