Iowa State picked up a commitment from Sandalwood High School (Fla.) defensive back Quran Hafiz on Friday.
“First off, I [would] like to start this off by thanking God for giving me such a great opportunity and putting me in the position I am in,” Hafiz posted in a statement on Twitter. “I am [also] thankful for the great people he put in my life.
“Just want to say thank you to my parents and also my step dad, family, and friends for being there for me throughout this whole process. … With that being said, I am verbally committing to Iowa State University!
