Iowa State picked up the commitment from Prior Lake (Minn.) High School defensive lineman Jamahl Johnson on Monday night.
Johnson posted his commitment on social media.
“I’m extremely blessed and excited to announce my commitment to play football at Iowa State University!! #GoCyclones!” Johnson tweeted out.
Johnson is 6-foot-1, 319 pounds. He visited ISU for the Iowa game. He is the seventh member of the 2016 recruiting class.
