Iowa State picked up a commitment from Rio Rancho High School (N.M.) offensive lineman Grant Hermanns, per a source.
Hermanns, 6-foot-6, 255 pounds, is a two-star Rivals prospect. Hermanns is expected to play tackle in college. His offers included Texas Tech, Kansas, Washington State, Nevada and New Mexico. He is the first offensive line commit of the 2016 class.
