Kamari Cotton-Moya is optimistic, but he’s showing restraint when discussing the secondary.
“I wouldn’t say strength of the defense,” the Iowa State junior safety said, “but we will be the most experienced.”
On paper, the secondary appears to be the defensive backbone. On the field, the Cyclones will need the backend to play up to its potential, especially with questions on the defensive line and at linebacker,
The Cyclone will need to improve on their pass defense, which was seventh in the Big 12 last season, allowing 266.
