Every Iowa State Football Game Ever: The 1910s

What’s interesting in this decade? Well, two MVIAA conference titles in 1911 and 1912 and a new stadium, called New State Field (until 1938, when it became Clyde Williams Field) opened up in 1915.

This stadium was located on “a coveted prize orchard of the Horticultural Department,” the 2006 Iowa State Media Guide said.

Here are the notable rule changes that happened during the decade:

1910: Seven players required on line.

1910: Pass interference does not apply 20 yds. beyond the line of scrimmage. Passer must be 5 yds. behind line of scrimmage.
