It’s almost criminal that I haven’t used Mike Rose as our defensive player to watch this season, but there have been plenty of other fascinating options leading up to this week. Rose has been Iowa State’s best defensive player this season. Whether it’s leading the team in tackles or coming up with diving interceptions in crucial moments, Rose is clearly at the top of the Iowa State defense.
Baylor sits middle of the road in the country offensively. They aren’t the best and nowhere near the top as they get their feet under themselves under Dave Aranda and try to through the struggle-ridden 1-3 start to their season.
