Iowa State went into Morgnatown today hoping to move to 7-2 on the season, but a rough first quarter proved too much to overcome. After a long touchdown pass on the third play of the game, the Mountaineers intercepted Kyle Kempt, leading to a field goal and a 10-0 lead. After opening up a 20-0 lead, the Cyclones were able to hit a field goal before the half.
Following the second half kickoff, the Cyclone offense scored a touchdown and field goal on its first two possessions, while the defense stiffened up and stop the West Virginia offense.
