Seven penalties, missed opportunities doomed the Cyclones today. Having Kempt go out late in the second quarter wasn’t ideal, but Zeb did step up well to the opportunity that presented itself. Trever Ryen is hopefully alright, and an 8-4 season is still very likely.
The Cyclones started today as well as anyone could’ve hoped, scoring on a touchdown pass to Lazard with 10:02 left in the first.
Following the touchdown, the Cowboys go on a quick 3-and-out to set up the Cyclones on their own 36. The Cyclones would again march down the field which culminated with a 22 yard run by David Montgomery for the score.
