Rumors have been swirling about Iowa State Cyclones head coach and former NBA shooter Fred Hoiberg potentially heading to the NBA to replace Tom Thibodeau as coach of the Chicago Bulls, and now it appears that those rumors could hold some water. Speaking to CBS Chicago, Yahoo Sports basketball insider Adrian Wojnarowski offered more on the topic.
“The job will be Fred Hoiberg’s if he wants it,” Wojnarowski said. “There’s not going to be any competition for him. Now, it’s conceivable that Fred Hoiberg decides to stay at Iowa State, but if they make a change and Tom Thibodeau is out, Fred Hoiberg is really the only candidate for this job from the Bulls perspective.
