The Iowa State women picked up a huge 80-55 road victory over No. 22 West Virginia on Saturday in Morgantown. The Cyclones (13-10, 4-8) were in control the entire game and led by an impressive 31-point effort from sophomore Bridget Carleton.
Emily Durr contributed 14 points, and Meredith Burkhall added another 12 points. Seanna Johnson finished with seven points and nine rebounds.
Both teams got off to a fast start, and a three from Carleton put the Cyclones ahead 7-5 less than two minutes into the game. As the furious pace continued, Durr gave Iowa State a 12-8 lead with 5:38 to play in the 1st quarter.
