Iowa State is the regular season Big 12 champion, outright. Let that sink in for a minute. I’ll stand on my soapbox for a minute and say that should be recognized in some way. To me and many others, being the best team after a full round-robin is way more impressive than being the best team on the day of the championship game. After the Louisiana loss, fans were optimistically telling themselves that the Cyclones could still be a top 2 team and make the conference championship game. Not only have they done that, at this point a loss in Dallas would be disappointing.
