Bubu Palo found himself in some trouble 2012. The Ames native and backup guard for Iowa State was accused of sexual abuse and was arrested along with another man involved in the alleged incident.
Palo would be suspended from Iowa State until a trial determined the outcome, but the charges would eventually be dropped, as authorities determined there were a few inconsistencies in the evidence and story. Palo returned to the program in January 2013.
Palo would play sparingly the rest of the year as he worked his way back into the public eye. Though it was a messy road, things were about to get even messier between Iowa State and Palo.
