When highly-touted recruits commit to Iowa State, fans and coaches alike expect big things from them. Often times these super-talented players can make an immediate impact even as freshman.

Or getting the mumps. Personally, I didn’t even know that this disease still existed. And then there was a rare bout of viral meningitis.
While all of these bizarre events delayed the much-anticipated debut of this promising player, it’s likely that Allen will have a very eventful 2017 season.
