Iowa State Stuns #3 Oklahoma 38-31 In Road Upset

With their starting QB taking a leave of absence, the Iowa State Cyclones marched into Norman, Oklahoma and upset the No. 3 Oklahoma Sooners in a stunner. Down 14 points late in the second quarter, the Cyclones found a way to pull off one of the biggest upsets of the season.

Kyle Kempt, the third string QB, found stud WR Allen Lazard for the game-winning score. Check it out below.

Kempt completed 18 of 24 passes for 343 yards and three TDs. Iowa State scored on their final five possessions.

But the player of the game might have been Joel Lanning, who played LB and QB for the Cyclones. He ran for 35 yards, threw for 25, had six tackle, 1 sack and a fumble recovery.

Baker Mayfield completed 24 of 33 passes for 306 yards, 2 TDs and a rushing TD. However, his last-ditch fourth down pass attempt fell incomplete and the Cyclones won.
