IOWA CITY, Iowa -- University of Iowa junior All-American Aaron Mallett was named co-Big Ten Track Athlete of the Week for his performances at Musco Twilight on April 23.
In his third 110-meter hurdle race of the season, Mallett set a meet record in a season-best 13.50, the fourth-fastest time in the nation. He also ran the second leg on the winning 400-meter relay (40.33). The defending Big Ten champion has led the conference in the 110-meter hurdles for four straight weeks since making his season-hurdle debut at the Pepsi Florida Relays on April 1.
