Former Hawkeye George Kittle was initially heading into the final season of his previous deal with the San Francisco 49ers before the season began.
Kittle was noticeably absent from voluntary workouts, and rumors were swirling that he was unhappy with the negotiations, and wanted to be highest paid tight end in the NFL.
Kittle quickly shut those rumors down, saying the source of the rumors was incorrect.
At the end of last season, Kittle stated he wanted to be a Niner for life, and finally got a deal done with little to no drama involved.
