Next stop, Ames! Fox's Big Noon Game on Saturday showcases a bitter in-state rivalry

Last season's Cy-Hawk matchup left a sour taste in the mouths of all Hawkeye fans.

In typical Iowa fashion, the defense dominated and held Iowa State to under 21 points, but the offense's inability to move the ball and run out the clock cost the Hawkeyes big.

The Hawkeyes held a 13-0 lead at halftime, but the Cyclones put up 14 points in the third quarter to take a brief lead before Iowa made two field goals.

Iowa nursed a 19-17 lead heading into the late stages of the game, and multiple three-and-outs caused them to punt the ball back to Iowa State with time winding down.
