Iowa and Purdue was heavyweight fight on Wednesday night.
The Hawkeyes came in cold, losing back-to-back games, but gave the Boilermakers all they had in a closely-contested game.
Iowa held a slim three-point halftime lead, but could not hold onto it as Purdue overwhelmed them in the second half.
Iowa had a lot going for it, even though it ultimately wasn't enough, and Purdue head coach Matt Painter may have unintentionally sparked a new rivalry after comments he made postgame.

After the game, Big Ten sideline reporter Andy Katz caught up with Painter, and instead of giving Iowa props for taking his team to the wire, he decided to go a different route.
