Even though they’ve only played one game on the young season, Iowa has two wins this season. The biggest by far is when Dowling Catholic’s 5-11 point guard, Caitlin Clark, announced today that she would be attending the University of Iowa.
Clark is ranked as the fourth best player in the class of 2020 by ESPN and her offer list was the who’s who of women’s college basketball programs. Besides Notre Dame, she had offers from Oregon State, Texas, and the nation’s top ranked team, Oregon, to choose from.
By staying at home, Clark has a chance to become the focal point of the Hawkeye team as soon as next season with the graduation of senior Kathleen Doyle.
