Iowa men’s basketball players earn postseason conference honors

Four Iowa basketball players have earned postseason conference honors for their performance in the Big Ten play this year:

Tyler Cook earned second team honors from the media and third team from the coaches while Jordan Bohannon garnered third-team recognition from the coaches. Luka Garza earned an honorable mention from the media and Joe Wieskamp made the all-freshmen team, as voted by league coaches:

Joining Wieskamp is Indiana’s Romeo Langford, Michigan’s Ignas Brazdeikis, Maryland’s Jalen Smith and Illinois’ Ayo Dosunmu.

Purdue’s Matt Painter earned a unanimous coach of the year award by media and coaches, while Michigan State’s Cassius Winston was unanimously named player of the year.
