A player in the Iowa football program Tweeted a thing yesterday, which generally means that player is no longer in the Iowa football program:
That’s redshirt freshman offensive lineman Jeff Jenkins, who served as the No. 2 center for much of the 2019 season, and was projected to land at the same spot in 2020.
The 6-3, 266 center came from the Chicagoland area, and was a three-star recruit out of Prairie Ridge high school. While he’s retiring from football, he plans to stick around in Iowa City.
