For the final time this season, the Iowa Hawkeyes are preparing to take the field. Iowa is making their first Holiday Bowl appearance since 1991, when they tied (yes, TIED) BYU 13-13. They’ll face off with the USC Trojans, who they last played in the 2003 Orange Bowl. USC won that battle 38-17.
Tonight, Iowa looks to right both of those wrongs as they look for their first win against USC since 1961 and their first win in the Holiday Bowl since 1987. They’ll also be looking for their 10th win of the season for the 6th time in Kirk Ferentz’s 21 years at Iowa.
