Kirk Ferentz had an unprecedented three AP All-Americans this season from the Iowa football team, and there is an outside chance that two of them (TJ Hockenson and Amani Hooker) return making them obvious front-runners to receive the awards again.
Are there others that could join them in 2019 and make the small list of Iowa football players to be named AP All-American? Unsurprisingly yes. There are three candidates (and potentially more) who possess the skillset, hype, and statistical backing that could them enough recognition with voters to be named AP All-American.
