It’s been a long month without Iowa football, but we are almost there. We are finally close enough to countdown the days until the Hawks take on the Mississippi State Bulldogs in the 2019 Outback Bowl. On paper this is a pretty evenly matchup of two teams with equally similar identities.
First, you have to respect both defenses which are each ranked in the top-10 in the nation. Second, each team has a quarterback with general notoriety but each have struggled at times this season causing their team’s performance to dip as well. Last but not least, each team enters this game with four losses in four mostly winnable games (losing to Alabama doesn’t really count in mind).
