Minnesota defensive end Aaron Witt is a guy the Hawkeye coaching staff has been after for quite some time. Despite building some inroads early in the process, Witt spurned Iowa for his home state school of Minnesota.
However, like so many PJ Fleck commits before him, Witt later rethought his decision and decommitted from the Gophers. The Iowa staff was immediately back on him. After a visit to Iowa State last weekend, the Hawkeyes got an official visit from Witt this weekend on their massive recruiting weekend. Witt wasted little time making a decision.
The Winona native brings with him a great frame at 6’5”.
