The win over Illinois wasn’t exactly as pretty as last years’ 63-0 thrashing the Iowa football game gave them in Champagne, but it was effective nonetheless.
If we’re being frank though, it was an ugly game. Four turnovers and three missed field goals combined were a bit rough to watch, but the Iowa football team pulled out the win 19-10.
For Saturday’s performance, two Iowa football players were recognized by Pro Football Focus as grading out as the top players at their positions in the Big Ten. One of those two even graded out as the best in the country, regardless of division.
