Committed to a program or not, if you are a multi-positional football player, the Iowa Hawkeyes will come calling.
Under Head Coach Kirk Ferentz, the Iowa program excels at developing underrecruited prospects into All-Big Ten performers.
A lot of those players start as one position, and end up succeeding in another.
A prime example of that is former Hawkeye Cooper DeJean, who was a talented all-around athlete for Odebolt-Arthur-Battle Creek-Ida Grove (OA-BCIG) High School in Ida Grove, Iowa.
DeJean was a quarterback and a defensive back in high school, but played primarily as a defensive back for the Hawkeyes.
