Ranked teams don't come into Kinnick Stadium and have an easy time against the Hawkeyes.
When Kinnick Stadium is packed with nearly 80,000 screaming Hawkeye fans and they get behind the team, it is hard for opponents to win, regardless of their ranking.
We saw a glimpse of that in Week Five when Iowa welcomed No. 11 Indiana to Kinnick Stadium for homecoming. Indiana ultimately won the game 20-15, but Iowa did not make it easy on them.
The Hawkeye defense held Indiana to 200 yards, which was under the season average to that point, and 30 points, which was also under their season average, but could not complete the upset.
