Damond Powell, a former Iowa football wide receiver, has signed on to play in the second highest level of professional football, the Canadian Football league. Powell played with the Hawkeyes for two seasons after transferring from Snow Community College where he was an Honorable Mention All-American after he posted a stat line of 41 catches, 1,231 yards, and 14 touchdowns. This earned him a three-star rating coming out of Junior College
With the Iowa football team, Powell was primarily used as a reserve wide receiver, but he still managed to post decent numbers in a Hawkeyes uniform.
