Just before the game started, I started thinking about my excitement for Iowa football to be back, and I honestly don’t think I have been more excited for a season before. Part of it is the amount of talent the Hawkeyes have, part of it is the continued evolution of Kirk Ferentz which generates a bit of excitement, and part of it is honestly just because I cover the Iowa football team for Dear Old Gold.
Regardless of the reason, I was pumped for last night, and outside of a ho-hum first-half performance and the Alaric Jackson injury, last night was great.
