Well, let’s call a spade a spade. Last night, the Iowa football team put up another stinker of a performance offensively and narrowly lost a game at home to Penn State.
It was a game they had to win if they wanted to make the College Football Playoffs, and once again, the defense rose to the occasion and the offense looked like some sick, twisted version of a revived Greg Davis offense.
Now, the Hawks sit at 4-2 with half of their season left, and in theory, they should be favored in all contests except for the game in Madison versus Wisconsin starting next week with Purdue.
