The Iowa football team will be kicking off their 2019 campaign at home with the first two weeks against the Miami (Ohio) Redhawks and the Rutgers Scarlet Knights. Hopefully, those two games provide the tuneup the Hawkeyes need because in week three, they will travel to Ames to face their in-state rivals.
The two teams will be meeting for the 67th time with Iowa leading the all-time series 44-22. Iowa has won the last five-of-six but Iowa State figures to have a really solid team this season. We knew the game was scheduled for Saturday, September 14, but the start of the game was still unknown.
