To say Iowa basketball fans are frustrated would be an understatement. This team was 20-5 and had the potential to secure a two-round bye in the upcoming Big Ten Conference Men’s Basketball Tournament. Furthermore, there was a chance for them to even secure one of the top-16 seeds in the NCAA Tournament, which would have given them an opportunity to play in front of a home crowd.
Needless to say, that is now all out the window though.
The Hawks are now locked into the #6 seed in this week’s Big Ten Tournament, and they are likely going to end up as a 7 or 8 seed in the NCAA Tournament unless they are able to somehow manage to win the Big Ten Tournament for the first time since 2006.
