Not many people would have taken a look at the Iowa basketball team’s schedule the first two weeks and said that they would be 4-0 at the conclusion. Yet, here we are. After two wins against smaller schools that saw the men’s team struggle out of the gate, the Hawks turned it on and made easy work of a ranked Oregon basketball team and the always tough University of Connecticut Huskies.
This strong start led to their inclusion in this week’s AP Poll as the Iowa basketball team went from unranked (and no votes) to being ranked 20th in the nation.
