Iowa Basketball: Hawkeyes Snag Seventh Seed in South Region

It wasn’t long ago that Iowa was receiving first place votes and ESPN’s Joe Lunardi had them as a one seed in his brackets. Well, after Iowa’s free-fall, they find themselves seeded 7th, which is exactly where they were last year. They’ll get to take on the Temple Owls, who won the regular season title in the American Conference with a 14-4 record.

They don’t really have any good wins, outside of their win against SMU, but their defeats of Cincinnati, and then Connecticut twice, are noteworthy.

They’re powered by Quenton DeCosey’s 16 point per game average, but they don’t score a lot.
