UNIVERSITY PARK, Pa. -- Road woes continued for the University of Iowa women's basketball team Wednesday in front of 2,812 inside the Bryce Jordan Center.
The Hawkeyes were in a 25-point hole with 3:56 left in the third quarter and fell for the second time this season to Penn State, 81-68. Iowa has dropped three in a row and five of six away from home.
The loss is damaging for Iowa's NCAA Tournament hopes as it slips to 17-12 overall, 7-10 in the Big Ten. Penn State improves to 11-17, 6-11.
