Hawkeye Wrestling secured another huge recruiting win in the 2027 recruiting class.
The Hawkeyes are coming off a disappointing season by Iowa standards, finishing No. 3 at the Big Ten Wrestling Championships behind Penn State and Nebraska, and crowning only one National Champion (Stephen Buchanan - 197 pounds).
Iowa has established a powerhouse wrestling program, including 24 National Championship titles. Even with all those banners hanging in the rafters, the program has not won a title since 2021 as Penn State has won every year since then.
The Hawkeyes have also not won a Big Ten Championship since 2021, largely thanks to Penn State's recent domination.
