My junior year in high school I had an English teacher (I hope you’re reading this, VanNatter) who was a die-hard Michigan fan. He had wolverines posters dotting the walls, his screensaver was a picture of Jared Goff, etc etc. He and I got along about as well as a Hawkeye and a Wolverine could, and we always found the time to get into spirited debates about our beloved teams.
Prior to the 2023 season, I asked him how he thought we’d do. He said, “Iowa is a dark-horse to compete in Indianapolis, but they’ll never get anywhere until they get a Quarterback.
