From undrafted free agent to a World Series roster, it's been a wild ride for Jack Dreyer

It has been an interesting path to the World Series for rookie pitcher Jack Dreyer.

Dreyer was a little-known relief pitcher in the Los Angeles Dodgers organization before making the opening day roster out of spring training this year.

Before joining the Dodgers' organization, Dreyer was an undrafted free agent who played college baseball for the University of Iowa.

While the Hawkeye baseball program has had success under manager Rick Heller, it is not known as a MLB factory that consistently pumps out Major League talent.

Dreyer is an exception, but it did not always look like he was destined for the majors after his career with the Hawkeyes.
