From Johnston, Iowa, to World Series champion, what a rookie season for Jack Dreyer

The wild ride for former Hawkeye pitcher Jack Dreyer has finally come to an end!

After going undrafted in the 2021 MLB Draft, the Los Angeles Dodgers took a chance on a kid from Iowa after he finished rehabbing from Tommy John surgery.

Dreyer had a solid career at Iowa, but injuries and inconsistencies derailed his college career.

Despite all the setbacks he faced, Dreyer persevered and made the Dodgers' bullpen out of spring training this season.

For most people, Dreyer was an afterthought as the Dodgers had a stacked bullpen from the previous season when they beat the Yankees in the World Series.
