The WNBA opens play tonight with three games on iON network, with two of them featuring former Iowa Hawkeyes.
Coming into the season, the big question was whether Lucy Olsen would make the Washington Mystics’ roster after the DC club took her in the second round. She made the roster this week, beating out a handful of other rookies, to join a very young roster in the nation’s capital. (Just 3 players are older than 25)
The uncertainty for Olsen ramped up for her when fellow rookie, Georgia Amoore, was ruled out for the season after tearing her ACL.
