IOWA CITY, Iowa -- University of Iowa All-American and 2016 Olympian Daniel Dennis is one of six United States Olympic team members competing this weekend at the Men’s Freestyle Wrestling World Cup in Inglewood, California.
The event is Dennis’s first wrestling competition since winning the 57 kg/125.5 lb. division at the 2016 U.S. Olympic Team Trials on April 10.
The World Cup is the annual international dual meet championship featuring the eight best men’s freestyle teams in the world. The United States is scheduled to face Iran, Azerbaijan, and India in Group B.
