Since it’s Friday, we can’t leave the week without a bit of a news dump. Thankfully, it’s good news for the Iowa Hawkeyes! Cordell Pemsl’s third season qualified for a hardship petition according to the Big Ten Conference so he will be able to play the 2019-20 season as a redshirt junior.
It was largely expected since he played in just two games, including a chippy 16 minutes in Iowa’s 98-84 win over Iowa State.
He was touch and go to start the season, as hardware in his knee from an earlier procedure left him was knocked loose and caused irritation and pain.
