Iowa landed its fourth in-state commitment for the Class of 2017 this weekend when Solon's Jacob Coons announced his decision to play for the Hawkeyes.

Coons is classified as an outside linebacker/tight end/athlete by the scouting services, and received a three-star grade from 247 and Rivals. He's already 6'4 and 215 pounds as a sophomore, so there is room to grow. Solon has used him everywhere from in-line tight end to wide receiver to H-back, as his Hudl video shows.
