The Hoosiers tagged UI starter Tyler Peyton for three runs on four hits in the first innings with two coming on a home run from Craig Dedelow -- the second batter of the game. Indiana added its third run on a Luke Miller sacrifice fly.
Indiana continued where it left off in the second, sending eight batters to the plate and scoring four runs on three hits and one Hawkeye error.
