A former Hawkeye is still without a new NFL contract as the Ravens play the long game

An obvious contract extension for a former Hawkeye is still on hold.

The Iowa program under Kirk Ferentz has sent over 90 players to the NFL, and most have made a solid impact at some point in their careers.

This season, there are 28 active former Hawkeyes in the NFL, and five of them have been named to Pro Bowl rosters.

Cooper DeJean, George Kittle, Jack Campbell, Tristan Wirfs, and Tyler Linderbaum were all named to Pro Bowl rosters, and one of the five is still waiting on a contract extension.

Linderbaum's obvious contract extension has still not gotten done

All-Pro center Tyler Linderbaum is in the final year of his rookie contract, and he and the Baltimore Ravens still have not worked out an extension.
